Jeb Bush Helps Out in Calif. House Race

By    |   Wednesday, 11 January 2012 12:20 PM EST

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is helping young California Republican Ricky Gill raise money in his quest to unseat a three-term Democratic member of Congress.

According to Politico, Bush will be in San Francisco Wednesday to headline a fundraiser for Gill that’s expected to add at least $60,000 to his campaign war chest.

Gill is challenging Rep. Jerry McNerney in a redrawn district encompassing the San Joaquin area of the state.

The 24-year-old Gill has already proven himself to be a competent fundraiser on his own. According to Politico, he raked in over $755,000 during the first six months of his campaign.
