"Dancing With the Stars" will begin its 23rd season with a curious mix of celebrities, including embattled Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, former Texas Gov and GOP prez wannabe Rick Perry, and Marsha Brady, aka actress Maureen McCormick.

Model and actress Amber Rose will also be there and dancing with a star, the show's longtime dancing pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, said Variety.

Lochte was best known as Michael Phelps' chief Olympic rival in Rio de Janeiro before fabricating a story about being robbed at gunpoint. Rio police last week charged him with filing a false police report.

"We're just trying to get this over with," Lochte said about the incident on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday. "It's been dragged out way too long. I think it's everyone blowing this way out of proportion. I think that's what happened."

Perry was the longest serving governor in the history of Texas, holding the seat from 2000 to 2015. He ran for the Republican presidential nomination in both 2012 and 2016. He is the second Texas politician to participate in "Dancing With the Stars." Former Texas Congressman Tom DeLay participated in 2013, noted Vanity Fair.

Rose, born Amber Levonchuck, gained notoriety by starring in music videos for Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, and Wiz Khalifa, noted Hollywood Life.com. She was in a relationship with rapper Kanye West before marrying Khalifa in 2013. They divorced a year later.

Lochte will be paired with Cheryl Burke, Perry will be matched with Emma Slater and "Brady Bunch" McCormick will be dancing with Artem Chigvintsev.

Others who are a part of Season 23 include Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and her partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy; "Little Women L.A." star Terra Jole and Sasha Farber; "Taxi" actress Marilu Henner and Derek Hough; rapper Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson; former Detroit Lion wide receiver Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold; "The Fosters" actor Jake T. Austin Jenna Johnson; singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Allison Holker; race car driver James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess, and country singer Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko.

"Dancing With the Stars" will premiere at 8 p.m., Sept. 12 on ABC.
