"Cute mugshot girl," AKA 18-year-old Alysa Bathrick of Raleigh, North Carolina, was back behind bars last week after being arrested for shoplifting.
Bathrick became quasi-famous last December when she tweeted out a mugshot taken after she turned herself in for possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to distribute,
reported ABC affiliate WTVD.
"Surrendered myself at 7 a.m., got released at 11:30 a.m.," she wrote late last year. "F*** what you heard. And my mugshot’s cute."
Bathrick's puffed up Twitter post was retweeted thousands of times, and earned her a number of admirers — some of which even offered to pay her bail. One asked what she was in for, and she replied "Xanax, homie."
Just a few months later, Bathrick is back, going into the slammer last Monday for her alleged bout of shoplifting on Jan. 26.
The New York Daily News reported that this is the third time Bathrick has been arrested in North Carolina. Her very first arrest came for a pair of assaults.
