Cop Gets bin Laden Personalized Plate

Retired cop Arno Herwerth, who fought a battle to have a license plate reading GETOSAMA is to change it — to GOTOSAMA.

Herwerth was first to claim the new plate from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles after Osama bin Laden was shot and killed on Sunday, reports the New York Post.

“I’m thrilled. It’s perfect,” Herwerth said.

The ex-NYPD sergeant from Hauppauge, Long Island won a drawn-out battle with the DMV in 2008 which had initially said GETOSAMA could be too “objectionable.” for a license plate.
