Chrissy Teigen has reactivated her Twitter account.

Three weeks ago the model and cookbook author announced that she was quitting the social media platform because it was negatively impacting her life. But on Friday she returned to the microblogging site.

"turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol" she wrote in her first tweet since March 25.

"I choose to take the bad with the good!!" she added.

Teigen has deactivated her Twitter account in the past, but fans were convinced that this time it was permanent after she fired off a series of emotional tweets explaining her decision.

Teigen began the thread by admitting she had not learned "how to block out the negativity."

"I have made my mistakes, throughout years and in front of hundreds of thousands, and been held accountable for them. I’ve learned an incredible amount here," she continued.

"I encourage you to know and never forget that your words matter. No matter what you see, what that person portrays, or your intention. For years I have taken so many small, 2-follower count punches that at this point, I am honestly deeply bruised."

Teigen said that her "desire to be liked" and her "fear of p***ing people off" turned her into a person her fans "didn't sign up for." It also made her a "different human than I started out here as."

"My life goal is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me. I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not," she added.

"But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something."

Weeks before Teigen dropped the bomb, the cookbook author asked President Joe Biden to unfollow her on the platform. In January, she became the first celebrity to appear in the @POTUS Twitter feed after she reached out to Biden, asking that he follow her on the platform. Then she backtracked on her request and asked that he unfollow her, which he did.

Teigen did not explain why she wanted the president to unfollow her, but fans speculated that she did not want to clog Biden's feed with her posts.

"OMG this made me laugh so hard only because I can relate. I had to block my pastor on FB because my social media self doesn’t match the person at church on Sunday," one follower replied to Teigen's tweet.

"Same when Jenna Marbles followed me. I would tweet every stupid idiot thought I had and then be like "oh god, I'm so sorry for clogging your timeline with my stupidity" another added.
