Casey Anthony, the Florida mom acquitted of her daughter Caylee's murder in 2011, has reportedly registered a new photography business, Case Photography, LLC, and has been spotted in public using a professional-grade camera.
"Make sure you get my good side. I'm working here," Anthony
told a paparazzo from The Daily Mail while she was herself out taking photos.
The Mail said that Anthony, 29, who has been a relative recluse in the years since her acquittal, was joined by private detective Patrick J. McKenna, 67, the lead investigator on her defense team. In addition to helping Anthony, McKenna famously unearthed the racist police tape that helped OJ Simpson get acquitted, and also helped one of the Kennedy's, William Kennedy Smith, beat rape charges.
Anthony's business is registered to McKenna's home in West Palm Beach, as is her driver's license. She's set up online profiles that appear to be for the photography business, but no posts have been made to them as of yet.
According to The Associated Press, "McKenna refused to talk to a reporter outside his home on Monday."
Copies of the registration papers, which established the business as operating from this past January 1 onward, have circulated on social media sites like Facebook, with commenters making abusive remarks and sometimes threats.
"We HAVE to harass her so hard she is out of business. reviews on Google, linked in, wherever we can find her," said one commenter, according to The Mail.
"Can you imagine hiring a photographer to take your precious baby's photos and she shows up?" said another.
The skeletal remains of Anthony's deceased daughter, two-year-old Caylee, were found in a wooded area 5 months after she disappeared in 2008, and led to the trial whereupon Anthony was acquitted.
