Hannity: Cain's Career Doomed if New Allegations True

By    |   Monday, 07 November 2011 04:54 PM EST

Herman Cain’s political career will be over if the GOP presidential candidate admits to Sharon Bialek’s sexual harassment allegations, Sean Hannity says.

Bialek, represented by celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, detailed what she alleges as Cain’s inappropriate behavior when he was CEO of the National Restaurant Association. Cain’s campaign staff simultaneously issued a statement saying all the allegations of Bialek and three other women are false.

“Herman Cain’s campaign has now issued a statement, a denial,” Hannity said on his radio show today. “Herman Cain’s not talking about this anymore. You’re going to see the media in a frenzy to try and draw Cain into this discussion, this debate.”

Meantime, a poll of voters in Iowa shows Cain leading contender Newt Gingrich by a 22-to-18-percent margin, Hannity pointed out.

“The number in this that really stands out is the Gingrich poll,” he said, noting that it has risen from 14 percent. “The numbers may validate popular narratives that Cain is slipping amid allegations of sexual harassment during his time as president of the National Restaurant Association.”

Allred’s news conference and her client’s graphic revelations might spell the end for Cain, Hannity said.

Bialek and Allred know “that it is impossible for him to move forward,” Hannity said. “If Herman Cain ever admitted to any such thing, or any conduct like this, his political career, or growing acceptance, wouldn’t be there. It’d be over.”
