Former President George W. Bush complimented President Barack Obama when Obama informed him of the killing of Osama bin Laden, Bush said in his first public comments on the matter at a hedge fund conference in Las Vegas Wednesday,
ABC News reports.

"I was eating souffle at Rise Restaurant with Laura and two buddies," Bush said when asked what he was doing when he received the call from Obama, according to an ABC News contributor who attended the conference. "I excused myself and went home to take the call," Bush said. "Obama simply said 'Osama Bin Laden is dead.'"
Obama described to Bush in detail the secret mission to snag bin Laden and his decision to approve the action. Bush’s response: "Good call."
To be sure, Bush wasn’t in a celebratory mood. Asked how he felt when he heard the news, the former president said he was "not overjoyed." The effort to capture bin Laden was pursued not “out of hatred but to exact judgment," he noted.
