The Buffalo Bills kept their promise this week and sent more than 1,400 chicken wings to the Cincinnati Bengals for their victory over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday that allowed the Bills to make the playoffs for the first time in 17 years, wrote NFL.com.
The Bills, 9-7, needed the Bengals to beat the Ravens last Sunday to get into the AFC playoffs after they beat the Miami Dolphins 22-16, noted NFL.com.
Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton threw the game-winning 49-yard touchdown to Tyler Boyd with 49 seconds left to give the Bengals the 31-27 victory, eliminating the Ravens, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
The Bills will play the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in the AFC wild-card playoff game at 1:05 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday.
In a Twitter post Thursday, the Bills announced that the chicken wings and more are on the way.
Dalton said that Buffalo fans donated money to his charity that provides aid for ill and physically challenged children and their families, NFL.com said.
Boyd said on Twitter that Bills fans helped him surpass his goal of $20,000 for his youth football organization, NFL.com wrote. He said the youth league has been given more than $50,000 to date.
