NFL star Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily, believe they saw a UFO shoot across the sky. The Cleveland Browns quarterback detailed the sighting Wednesday in a tweet.
"Almost 100%, Em and I just saw a UFO drop straight out of the sky on our way home from dinner... we stopped and looked at each other and asked if either of us saw it... Very bright ball of light going straight down out of the sky towards Lake Travis. Anybody else witness this?" he wrote.
Emily also recounted their experience on social media.
"I won’t lie... I’m typically not someone who buys into UFO talk. But all I know is... I saw something tonight that I have never seen. And I’m a little thrown off," she tweeted.
According to Fox News, the couple were in Texas when they allegedly witnessed the UFO, just two weeks after an American Airlines pilot claims to have seen a UFO fly right over his passenger jet. American Airlines Flight 2292 was traveling from Cincinnati to Phoenix when the incident took place somewhere near the area of New Mexico.
"Do you have any targets up here? We just had something go right over the top of us," the pilot said in a radio transmission accidently recorded by a blogger, Steve Douglass, who then uploaded it to his site, Deep Blue Horizon.
"I hate to say this — looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast. It went right over the top of us," the pilot added in the radio transmission.
