Bachmann: Faith Will Drive Prez Run

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann told a Christian radio network Wednesday that conservative women like her and Sarah Palin are unfairly criticized and that faith could drive her decision whether to run for president, according to CBN News.

Bachmann, who is considering whether to jump into the race for the Republican presidential nomination, is not afraid of a political fight, or of taking a leading role in tea party movement.

"I am the chairman of the Tea Party Caucus, but I'm not queen of the tea party," she said.

Her rise is related to the elevation of the tea party, whose support she will need if she decides to run for president. When asked what may move her to run, Bachmann answered:

"I think it will be an inner assurance more than anything of what I am supposed to do," she said. "That's where prayer comes in. We're strong people of faith. My husband and I gave our lives to the Lord when we were 16 years of age."
