A dead baby was found in the bag of a teenage girl Thursday after she and another girl were suspected of shoplifting at a Victoria's Secret store in Manhattan.

A store security guard stopped the two 17-year-olds at around 1 p.m. and noticed a strong odor coming from a bag. The guard then discovered the fetus of a baby boy in a plastic bag.

Tiona Rodriguez, already a mother to a 2-year-old, told police she had a miscarriage on Wednesday and didn't know what to do, the Daily Mail reported. She was believed to be about six and a half months along.

An autopsy on the fetus is pending. Results are expected Friday.

Both girls were charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, The Associated Press said, but could face much more serious charges depending on the outcome of the autopsy.

Rodriguez had complained about cramping on Facebook on Wednesday, according to the Daily Mail.

One of Rodriguez's neighbors was shocked to hear the news.

"She's a good girl," Zami Ford, 17, told the New York Daily News. "I can't believe she would do that."
