In 2018, Chef Nabeel opened the Flavors Grill restaurant in Abu Dhabi as he went from a nomad traveler to a family man. Located in the quaint port of Mina Zayed rather than glamourous downtown, Flavors Grill is beloved by locals and tourists alike. He chose this location because it intersects cultures and flavors, making it the perfect setting for a restaurant that embodies culinary cultures.
The launch of Flavors Grill at Mina Rashid, when Dubai gets ready to host the world at Expo 2020, is Chef Nabeel's vision to serve the visitors traditional dishes that are amplified with ambient light, décor, and music. It is notable here that there are no refrigerators at the Flavors Grill restaurants; all dishes are made fresh, and the produce comes directly from the local market earlier in the day. "Your meal is prepared in front of you on an open fire grill as cooking is done without gas or electricity," shares a visitor. This technique is inspired by the 18th century when food was cooked with tools of nature rather than those of man.
In addition to its authenticity, Flavors Grill is also inspired by the bond of family. This is Chef Nabeel Hassan's other great love, not just for his own family but those of others.
