Like the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. before her, Mary Schmidt Amons has a dream, apparently. And where better to deliver her inspiring sermon than in the capital, just steps from the National Mall.
Her dream is racial integration. Like so many, she is emboldened by the election of the first black president. "There's a wave to ride here with our new administration, with the beautiful couple leading our country," she says.
The room is silent. It's the first episode of "The Real Housewives of D.C.," and Mary is stoically addressing the audience at her birthday party in a trendy Washington restaurant.
