3 U.S. Troops Die in Chopper Crash in Iraq

There are no indications the aircraft was brought down by hostile fire. It is at least the seventh Black Hawk to crash in the past six months. Six others have gone down since October 2002, killing 24 and injuring three, according to Army statistics.

There were five fatal accidents in all of fiscal year 2002, and just two in fiscal year 2001.
