Help Iraq's Children!

What better way to show your commitment to freedom than to help those suffering in Iraq, particularly the children. One American group, Giving Children Hope, is doing just that. Take a moment to read an important letter below from Juliana Ditty of Giving Children Hope.

Dear fellow American:

In every major war, America has always shown its true colors by helping the needy in the country defeated or liberated.

Now you can demonstrate your kindness to the people of Iraq.

President Bush has declared that America was never at war with the people of Iraq, we were at war with Saddam.

Now, the people of Iraq and most especially the children of Iraq need your help.

What better way for Americans to show their compassion and commitment to freedom than helping Iraq and her people?

One respected nonprofit organization doing just that is Giving Children Hope, a division of Global Operations and Development, a respected worldwide relief provider. I am co-founder of Giving Children Hope, based in Orange County, Calif.

Giving Children Hope is a charity recognized by the IRS. The agency is also a Private Volunteer Organization (PVO) registered with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Giving Children Hope was founded in 1993 to bring medical aid and sustainable development projects to families caught in the despair of poverty worldwide. We believe that it is a privilege and blessing to empower the hopeless in their communities.

We also make sure that 99 percent of the funds we raise go into program services. Giving Children Hope is an approved charity by Christian Charities USA and the Independent Charities of America.

We invite you to join with us as we assist the people of Iraq with the intervention of extremely needed medical supplies and equipment. Your participation in this effort now will help ensure a new Iraq that will be led by people who love freedom and support democracy.

Global Operations and its “Giving Children Hope Program” will initially be sending five 40-foot ocean-bound containers to the devastated city of Basra, where Iraqi physicians in concert with volunteers will be distributing medical assistance to the people, clinics and hospitals in need.

To do this, we need your help.

Food is now getting into the country, but the health care infrastructure has been devastated by the battles and by looting.

Our desire is to help those who have been victimized by the former regime, or hurt during the liberation, to be able to put their health and their lives back together again. In return, the people will learn who their true friends are and how freedom-loving individuals work together.

This truly is an historical moment for our nation, and the war on terrorism.
