Zach Dasher, a Republican running for the House seat occupied by Republican Rep. Vance McAllister in Louisiana, is getting some help from his famous uncle: Phil Robertson of the TV show "Duck Dynasty."
Robertson stars in two campaign ads that were released this week.
In the first ad, called "Believe," Robertson is dressed in camouflage and is holding an assault rifle in one hand and a Bible in the other.
"Bibles and guns brought us here and Bibles and guns will keep us here," Robertson says. "Zach Dasher believes in both. That's why I'm voting for him."

The second ad is called "Vetted," and in it Robertson provides his reasons for voting for his nephew.
"On Tuesday, Ms. Kay and I are voting for Zach Dasher," Robertson says. "He loves his family, he's got a servant's heart, he knows his Bible. He is a good man. We vetted him."

According to
The Hill, the Dasher campaign bought "significant" airtime in the state's 5th district as he makes a final push with the election one week away.
There are nine candidates on the ballot. Under Louisiana's voting system, if no one earns at least 50 percent of the votes next Tuesday, the top two vote-getters will compete in a runoff election on Dec. 6.
A recent poll, according to
Roll Call, suggests the race could go to runoff. Democrat Jamie Mayo has 19 percent support in the poll, followed by McAllister (17 percent) and Dasher (13 percent).
Robertson supported
McAllister in a special election last year, which he won. But in April, a video was released of McAllister
kissing a female staff member that was taken from a surveillance feed last December.
The embattled congressman brushed aside suggestions that he resign and instead vowed to run for re-election this year.
