White House Chief of Staff John Kelly on Monday has tapped senior aide Chris Liddell as his new deputy, Politico reports.
Liddell has been the White House director of strategic initiatives.
"Chris is widely respected across the administration and is highly qualified to oversee and coordinate our policy process," Politico quoted Kelly. "We look forward to having him in this new role."
Liddell, former chief financial officer at Microsoft and General Motors, will be given the title of deputy chief of staff for policy coordination, Politico reports.
Kelly has been short-handed since his former deputy Kirstjen Nielsen took over his role as chief of Department of Homeland Security.
Further, Rick Dearborn's last day as deputy chief of staff for legislative and intergovernmental affairs was Friday, a departure that was in the making since the first of the year.
