Democrat Elizabeth Warren, who recently quit her position as an adviser to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, is now pondering a bid for the Massachusetts Senate seat at play next year.
She plans to decide after Labor Day about whether to seek the Democratic nomination against incumbent GOP Sen. Scott Brown, a Massachusetts Democrat who is assisting her told
The Hill.
“In the weeks ahead, I want to hear from you about the challenges we face and how we get our economy growing again,” Warren wrote on the liberal Massachusetts blog Blue Mass Group. “I also want to hear your ideas about how we can fix what all of us — regardless of party — know is a badly broken political system.”
Two veteran political aides who assisted Democratic Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick are now helping Warren -- Doug Rubin, who led Patrick’s two campaigns, and Kyle Sullivan, a former Patrick spokesman.
