Hillary Clinton said it is difficult to determine whether the Trump administration is making intentional moves regarding Iran or just displaying its “incompetence.”

The former secretary of state made her comments in a Tuesday tweet.

She wrote: “One gift [President Donald] Trump could give the country and the world is to not start a war with Iran in his final 15 days in office. It’s hard to tell whether his administration is making intentional moves or simply displaying incompetence. Either way, they are playing a dangerous game."

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has ordered the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Nimitz to stay in the Middle East because of threats from Tehran against Trump and other U.S. officials.

Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller on Sunday ordered the ship's routine redeployment halted, issuing a short statement that said the ship will "remain on station in the U.S. Central Command area of operations. No one should doubt the resolve of the United States of America."
