The Republican National Committee (RNC) is criticizing Democratic leaders for failing to castigate Occupy Wall Street participants who have made anti-Semitic comments, especially since they were so quick to criticize the tea party movement for allegedly discriminatory rhetoric,
The Hill reports.
“Democratic leaders have spent the last week championing the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement,” said RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer. “Yet in the midst of protestors’ extreme anti-Semitic, anti-Israel comments, they’ve been silent."
He specifically cited President Barack Obama; House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.; New York Rep. Steve Israel, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; and Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.
“Where’s the outrage?” Spicer said.
