In Utah’s hotly contested 4th Congressional District, Democratic challenger Ben McAdams has taken the lead for the first time over Republican incumbent Rep. Mia Love, according to a KUTV 2News and Dixie Strategies poll released on Tuesday.
With just one week to go before the midterm elections, the survey showed that McAdams, who is currently Salt Lake County mayor, received 49.5 percent of the vote, with Love at just 43 percent and 7.4 percent undecided.
The survey was conduced on Oct. 25 with a sample size of 936 likely voters and a 3.2 percent margin of error.
The poll comes just a few days after a survey conducted by New York Times Upshot poll was released on Friday that showed the race in a dead heat at 45 percent each for McAdams and Love, with 9 percent undecided.
