Bill Clinton Stumps for Democrats in Mich., Minn.

Sunday, 24 October 2010 11:50 AM EDT

DETROIT (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton is hitting the campaign trail for Democrats in the Midwest.

He's starting the day in Detroit with a rally for gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero at Detroit's Renaissance High School. Bernero has been trailing Republican Rick Snyder in the polls.

Clinton also will campaign for U.S. Rep. John Dingell in Ann Arbor and U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer in Battle Creek before heading to Minnesota.

There, he's supporting Democratic congressional candidate Tarryl Clark, who's challenging Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann in the nation's most expensive U.S. House race.
