Lincoln Targets Boozman's Vet, Military Votes

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln is targeting Republican challenger John Boozman's record on military and veterans issues as she fights to keep her job.

Lincoln had said last week that the congressman routinely voted against funding for veterans and the military. The Democrat pushed back Monday after Boozman said she was lying about his record in Congress.

Boozman is member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee. His campaign says that Lincoln is citing votes that include appropriations that were part of overall budget proposals he opposed.

Lincoln says Boozman's record includes stand-alone votes against measures that would have helped veterans and the military. Lincoln is considered one of the most vulnerable incumbents seeking re-election this year.
