Former Ukrainian prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko said Friday that he spoke to President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani “maybe 10 times,” NBC News reports.
Lutsenko told NBC News Chief Foreign correspondent Richard Engel that he doesn’t know “any possible violation of Ukrainian law” by former Vice President Joe Biden or his son.
When asked how may times he spoke with Giuliani, either in person or over the phone, Lutsenko said that he doesn’t remember exactly how many times he spoke with Giuliani, but said he’s “spoken with him maybe 10 times.”
“I don't remember. I’ve had I think some 50-60 phones per day,” while in the “general prosecutor office. With Mr. Giuliani I have met twicely, and twicely I spoke about now we are speaking.”
When pressed for details, Lutsenko said, “I think that it is not a public question about my phones, that's not connected with Ukrainian cases.”
The former prosecutor later reiterated, when asked about any abuse of power or corruption related to Biden or his son, “I had declared that I don't know any possible violation of Ukrainian law, once again, Ukrainian law by Biden and by the junior.”
