President Donald Trump's tweeted threat he has 52 targets ready if Iran escalates with a retaliation of striking Qassem Soleimani is "incredibly dangerous and irresponsible," according to former Vice President Joe Biden.
"I have no idea whether he has any plan at all," Biden told CBS in a video posted on Twitter. "But when he makes statements like that, it just seems to me to be he's just going off on a tweetstorm on his own, and it's incredibly dangerous and irresponsible.
"I have no idea that he's coordinated with any of our allies. I have no idea that he has support of his own generals and his national security team. This is a guy who seems to be unmoored."
Biden pointed to his past comments of fearing the "more the walls close in" on Trump, the more likely he was to do something "irrational," something he reiterated via tweet Saturday night.
"He's being irresponsible," Biden concluded, after calling for "informed consent" from Congress to conduct operations such as the Soleimani strike.
