Trump Touts GOP's Victories: 'Tremendous Success'

President Donald Trump on Tuesday took to Twitter to bask in Republican victories in midterm election races around the country.

“Tremendous success tonight,” the president tweeted. “Thank you to all!”

Republicans held onto the Senate — though the House flipped to the Democrats — and many of the candidates Trump campaigned for came up winners, former U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, who beat back a challenge from Democratic Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum to win the governor’s race.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called Republicans keeping the Senate “a huge moment and victory for the president.”
