President Donald Trump's transition efforts have raised more than $6.5 million, according to filings with the General Services Administration obtained by CNN

Trump's transition fundraising unit, Trump for America Inc., raised $6,513,947.93 through Feb. 14, the filings said.

Donors included the Mercer family, who donated Sept. 27. The day before the election, financier Carl Icahn donated the $5,000 maximum amount. Billionaire Republicans Sheldon and Miriam Adelson donated on Jan. 9, according to the filings.

Most of the donations came in after the election, including $5,000 from the Financial Services Roundtable the day after the election.

The transition effort spent $4.6 million, including about $1 million on payroll and taxes, almost $2 million on travel and relocation, and almost $1 million on legal and consulting services, according to the filings.

Hillary Clinton's transition effort raised $2.1 million and spent $1.4 million, according to CNN's report.

According to the Center for Public Integrity, at least a dozen lobbyists donated money to Trump for America.
