President Donald Trump on Tuesday vented about Russia again, hitting the previous administration for its "failures" dealing with the Russian Federation and claiming he has been "much tougher on Russia than Obama."
Trump's tough stance on Russia is a theme that surfaced Monday during the White House press briefing.
Trump "has authorized the sale of offensive weapons in Ukraine, again, against Russian objections. He has been tough, measured and smart when it comes to Russia," deputy press secretary Raj Shah said Monday.
The tough talk comes in the aftermath of 13 indictments against Russia nationals handed down last week by special counsel Robert Mueller for interfering in the 2016 election.
Trump has yet to condemn Russia, but has instead railed against the probe itself.
