President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning urged Pennsylvania Republicans to challenge an overhauled congressional district map.

"Your original was correct," Trump said in a tweet.

"Hope Republicans in the great state of Pennsylvania challenge the new 'pushed' congressional map, all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary," Trump wrote in the tweet.

"Don't let the Dems take elections away from you so that they can raise taxes and waste money!" the president added.

Pennsylvania's high court imposed a map of congressional districts for the state's 2018 elections that overhauls a Republican-drawn map that was widely viewed as gerrymandered in favor of Republicans.
