President Donald Trump announced he intends to nominate former Republican Reps. Pete Hoekstra and Ann Marie Buerkle to administration posts, The Hill is reporting.

Hoekstra of Michigan will be nominated for ambassador to the Netherlands, according to the website.

He co-chaired Trump's campaign in Michigan in 2016, The Detroit News noted.

Buerkle of New York is Trump's pick to serve as chairwoman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, The Hill reported. She currently serves as acting head of the commission.
