President Donald Trump is still involved in legal challenges to the 2020 election, White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said on Tuesday when asked how the president responded to the Electoral College vote confirming Democrat Joe Biden as the U.S. president-elect.

Trump, a Republican, has declined to concede the election to Biden, who is expectec to be inaugurated as president on Jan. 20.

"He's still pursuing ongoing litigation," McEnany told reporters about Trump. "Yesterday’s  vote was one step in the constitutional process so I will leave that to him and refer you to the campaign for more on that litigation."

She also declined to respond to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell calling Biden president-elect earlier Tuesday. "I haven’t gotten the president's reaction to that yet but the president, again, is pursuing ongoing litigation," she told reporters.
