President Donald Trump stepped up the pressure on Iran over its ballistic missile tests Friday morning, firing off an early-morning tweet promising that he won't be "kind" to the Middle Eastern nation like predecessor Barack Obama.
"Iran is playing with fire," he wrote.
Trump's Twitter remarks build on National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's announcement Wednesday that the U.S. was putting Iran "on notice" over its testing.
Flynn said "Iran is now feeling emboldened" and blasted the Obama administration for failing "to respond adequately."
Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif responded within minutes, tweeting that the Islamic Republic is unmoved by Trump's threats.
