President Donald Trump on Wednesday blasted the Democratic impeachment probe as "bulls***" as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff vowed to conduct a fair investigation.
"The Do Nothing Democrats should be focused on building up our country, not wasting everyone’s time and energy on BULLS***, which is what they have been doing ever since I got overwhelmingly elected in 2016, 223-306," Trump said in a four-post Twitter rant. "Get a better candidate this time, you'll need it!
He then ripped Schiff, D-Calif., saying he "should only be so lucky to have the brains, honor and strength of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
"For a low-life like Schiff, who completely fabricated my words and read them to Congress as though they were said by me, to demean a first in class at West Point, is SAD!"
Then, including video clips of Democrats attacking Trump since his election, the president tweeted: "Democrats are trying to undo the Election regardless of FACTS!"
Trump then hit Pelosi, another California Democrat, noting that she "just said that she is interested in lowering prescription drug prices and working on the desperately needed USMCA.
"She is incapable of working on either," the president continued. "It is just camouflage for trying to win an election through impeachment.
"The Do Nothing Democrats are stuck in mud!"
Trump tweeted as Pelosi and Schiff told reporters that Democrats hoped to work with Trump on legislation that included the trade pact with Mexico and Canada, infrastructure, and lowering prescription drug prices.
But Pelosi, who last week announced the impeachment probe, promised that "we'll treat the president with fairness as we go forward."
White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham also poked at Pelosi's pledge, tweeting: "Hearing the Dems say 'we will treat this president fair' is laughable, when you consider they've been attacking and harassing him since Election Night 2016.
"The witch hunt continues."
