President Donald Trump is pleased with the House's passage of a bill that would allow veterans more choices when it comes to healthcare.
Trump tweeted about the Mission Act Thursday morning, one day after the House chamber passed the $52 billion bill via a 347-70 vote.
The president said he wants the Senate to pass the measure by Memorial Day, May 28, so he can sign it into law.
The bill seems to have a good chance of making it through the Senate chamber. Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., already supports it from his post as the top-ranked Democrat of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
Tester did, however, play a role in derailing the nomination of White House doctor Ronny Jackson for the job of secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs last month by revealing anonymous allegations that Jackson overprescribed medication and drank alcohol on the job.
