CNN’s Chief Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin said he wouldn’t be surprised to see President Donald Trump’s recent tweets brought up during impeachment proceedings.

His comments came Tuesday during an appearance on CNN’s “New Day.”

“We have all become so inured to Donald Trump bringing the crazy on tweets,” he said. “But the tweets over the past few days have been so outrageous and, really, evidence of obstruction of justice.

“I would not be surprised to see some of these tweets actually referenced in impeachment proceedings.”

“If any CEO of a public company talked about an internal whistleblower the way Donald Trump is talking about whistleblowers, the board would fire that CEO.”

Among the recent tweets from Trump is one saying he deserves to meet his accuser. And Trump again alluded to punishment for the “spy” who gave the whistleblower information.
