President Donald Trump and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., are scheduled to meet Wednesday morning for a discussion likely to cover racial issues, the Washington Examiner reported.

Sen. Scott — the first African-American senator for South Carolina and the only current African-American GOP senator — was among those who criticized Trump over his response to violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The White House schedule released Tuesday evening shows the meeting, first reported by Axios, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Oval Office, the Examiner reported.
