Rep. Tom Massie: Trump 'Burning Political Capital' Attacking GOP

President Donald Trump is wasting energy attacking conservatives, according to Rep. Thomas Massie Friday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

"He is burning political capital with every tweet that attacks the guys that came to Washington, D.C. to drain the swamp," Massie said.

The Kentucky Republican said that he was not concerned about Trump possibly targeting him in the 2018 primary elections because he opposed the American Health Care Act proposal.

"He can bring Air Force One, Marine One, and Amtrak One, it is not going to change what I am going to do. My constituents . . . sent me to D.C. frankly to drain the swamp and we were excited, you know. Conservatives were excited when we heard Donald Trump was coming to help us drain the swamp. But now he is taking advice from the swamp creatures," Massie said.

On Thursday, Massie sent a tweet that criticized Trump's claims about "draining the swamp."
