A rally scheduled for next Monday featuring President Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was moved to a much larger venue because of high demand, the Trump campaign announced.

Trump's 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeted Thursday afternoon that the rally will move from the NRG Arena, which according to its website holds roughly 8,000 people, to the Toyota Center, which can handle as many as 19,000 people.

"Response for tickets to #MAGA rally #Houston Mon 10/22 has been HUGE and unprecedented! This will be an epic rally, so we're moving to @ToyotaCenter. Want to make sure everyone coming knows the venue changed!" Parscale tweeted.

The Houston Rockets of the NBA play at the Toyota Center.

The event will be held in support of Cruz, who is running for reelection against Texas Democrat Beto O'Rourke, who currently serves in the House. Trump has put on several rallies in recent months for Republican candidates running in the midterm elections.

This week, Eric Trump told Newsmax TV that Trump and Cruz have forged a friendship since Trump took office in January 2017.
