Tea Party Group Plans Protest Against MSNBC

By    |   Wednesday, 08 May 2013 02:29 PM EDT

Conservative protesters are planning a demonstration against MSNBC outside of the Comcast annual shareholders' meeting in Philadelphia on May 15.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, 60 thousand invitations were emailed to conservatives in the Philadelphia area from FreedomWorks, a leading tea party group that has accused Comcast CEO Brian Roberts of using MSNBC to push a liberal agenda instead of covering the news. Comcast owns MSNBC.

"The news programs at NBC and MSNBC, run by Comcast CEO Brian Roberts, reflect total agreement with the Obama agenda," reads the FreedomWorks email sent out to tea party supporters.

"These 'news' organizations even adopted the Obama re-election campaign's 'Forward' slogan. Is this what Comcast subscribers and American voters need?"
