Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., blasted House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., as the panel opened public impeachment hearings on Wednesday.
Scalise made his remarks in a tweet.
He wrote: “Jerry Nadler’s record:
“— Campaigned for Judiciary chairman saying he’s best for impeachment.
“—Voted to impeach the President back in July
“—Told CNN the evidence is ‘damning’ before hearings began
“This isn’t about the truth. He’s wanted to impeach @realDonaldTrump for months.”
Four law professors were scheduled to provide the legal analysis of impeachment before Nadler’s committee on Wednesday.
