A tweeted photo from ultra conservative Rep. Steve King has raised speculation that he is the latest Republican ready to throw his hat into the 2016 presidential race.
The six-term congressman from Iowa sent out a picture of himself in Dixville Notch, the tiny New Hampshire hamlet that traditionally announces the result of its presidential vote before any other in the nation.
"Just poking around the back roads," King said in his tweet "Beautiful place 4 first in nation primaries & general election results."
New Hampshire normally holds the first presidential primaries and the second presidential contest — after King's home state caucuses. The 64-year-old is also
scheduled to visit South Carolina, the third state to vote, later his month.
