Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are "terrific people" and "absolutely" have his full support.
Bannon made the remarks during his interview with CBS' "60 Minutes," and is significant because the speculation out of the White House was that Kushner and Bannon were often at odds over policy and direction.
Bannon did say the ideas of President Donald Trump's daughter and son-in-law need to be "counterbalanced."
"I think they are terrific people," Bannon said during the "60 Minutes" interview. "And their ideas, as long as it's counterbalanced by the Peter Navarros and the Stephen Millers and more of the economic nationalists, I think we'll be fine."
