Another ex-White House insider, another tell-all — and President Donald Trump is reportedly "hopping mad" about it.
The latest behind-the-scenes tome is from former aide Cliff Sims, and "Team of Vipers: My 500 Extraordinary Days in the Trump White House," coming out Tuesday, is already rustling the feathers of the commander-in-chief, Politico reported.
"Trump is asking aides: 'Who is this guy? Why is he writing this book? He wasn’t even in meetings,'" Politico reported, quoting unnamed sources. "He also dismissively refers to Sims — who served until last May as director of White House message strategy and a special assistant to the president —as 'the videographer' because he also helped Trump with the weekly video and radio addresses, according to three current and former White House officials."
Already-published excerpts include allegations that Kellyanne Conway was a big leaker — an allegation she rebutted in a statement to Vanity Fair — and that ex-chief of staff John Kelly vented to him about “the worst f***ing job I’ve ever had," Mediaite reported.
The president, Politico reported, is "very pissed off" and "really hopping mad."
One anonymous person close to the White House told Politico that Trump "feels duped by a guy who he trusted."
On "The View," Sims said that despite his book and his concerns about the president, "I believed in him while I was there and I'm not here to apologize for working for him."
Sims is set to appear on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Monday night.
