A new television ad by the Sierra Club is urging President Donald Trump to fire Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt, The Washington Times is reporting.
The spot will run through Friday on Fox News' "Fox & Friends."
"The ad focuses on Pruitt's swamp-like behavior including lavish spending and the Republican backlash," said a statement by the Sierra Club.
"From abusing taxpayer funds to pay for his first-class travel and exorbitant security detail, to defying White House orders, it's clear that Pruitt has spent his time as EPA administrator parading around and directing others as if he were the president — just as he desires to be treated," said Sierra Club's Policy Director Melinda Pierce.
"Unfortunately for 'president' Pruitt, he's not in charge, and his exposure as the dirtiest swamp creature in D.C. has made it clear to all — including Republicans in Congress and the White House — that he must go."
The ad includes the hashtag, "BootPruit" and notes his travel expenses and granting "huge raises" to his friends, according to The Washington Times.
"EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt wants to be treated like he was the president," says the narrator in the ad.
