Amid some talk Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, should not run for president in 2020 because Republican Gov. Mike DeWine would be the one to appoint his replacement, the lone Ohio Democratic midterm winner has made no decision.
"I have no real timetable," Sen. Brown told NBC News' "Meet the Press."
Brown said he has a a lot to weigh before considering a presidential run, something he admits is a bigger dream for others.
"It's an intensely personal decision with my wife and my children," Brown told host Chuck Todd.
Regardless, Brown teased a platform that suggests he will be interested in competing in a crowded Democratic field for the 2020 presidency.
"I won my election because I talk about the dignity of work," Brown told Todd. ". . . We don't pay enough attention to the dignity of work.
". . . Whether I run or not, I'm hopeful that narrative, that message begins to be part of the narrative among my colleagues who want to be president, who have dreamed of it, frankly, for longer than I have."
