Texas Rep. Pete Sessions, head of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), is none too happy about the release of a document showing which of his colleagues are lagging on their party dues. He apologized to the congressmen, who weren’t so pleased about the leak either, The Hill reports.

sessions, late, party, dues“I offered my apologies to several people,” Sessions said. So whoever thinks they were going to leak falsified information should know that I’m disappointed in their behavior.”

The document cited Reps. Pete King, R-N.Y.; Joe Wilson, R-S.C.; Bill Young, R-Fla.; Thaddeus McCotter, R-Mich.; Lee Terry, R-Neb.; Walter Jones, R-N.C.; Ron Paul, R-Texas; Steve King, R-Iowa; and Gary Miller, R-Calif. It said they owe a combined $1 million in NRCC dues from the 2010 campaign.

Steve King’s reaction: “Leaks … are not conducive to a constructive result.” If anyone in his office leaked such sensitive information, he/she “would be dismissed.”
