The two leading Senate Republican groups brought in $7.1 million in the third quarter, according to Politico.

The outside groups, Senate Leadership Fund and One Nation, have brought in $24.1 million in this campaign season, and the groups' president, Steven Law, said that another $6.1 million has been pledged for the fourth quarter, Politico reported.

Law said donors are "very very fired up" and that the Senate Leadership Fund, which has close ties with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., had its best off-year fundraising in the group's history.

While supporters are not pleased with how long it takes to accomplish agenda items, Law said that they remain steadfast in their support for Republicans. "They are not willing to walk away with the investment they have made in Washington," Law said, according to Politico.

Progress on tax reform is a must, he added. "I think if we get tax reform done we are going to have a blockbuster year… if Congress doesn't get it done, there is nothing we will be able to do to rescue these members for the hole they will have dug for themselves," Law said.

McConnell and President Donald Trump are set for a lunch meeting to discuss policy on Monday.
