MSNBC's Joe Scarborough took to Twitter on Friday to criticize President Donald Trump, saying he's "been concerned" the commander in chief would "abuse his pardon powers."

The "Morning Joe" co-host was making reference to a Washington Post report released Thursday that said the president's lawyers were at work to stall special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.

The Post reported Trump had sought legal advice on whether he had authority to pardon aides, family members, or himself regarding Mueller's probe.

However, Trump attorney Jay Sekulow said Friday that was not being discussed.
