Wednesday, 13 July 2011 07:18 AM EDT

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum plans to wrap up a campaign swing through South Carolina in his GOP presidential nomination visit with stops in Spartanburg and Rock Hill.

Santorum has planned a news conference Wednesday in Spartanburg. He plans to cap the day with a town hall meeting at Winthrop University in Rock Hill.

On Tuesday Santorum had stops in Myrtle Beach, Conway and North Charleston. He'll be in Myrtle Beach again Wednesday.

Santorum hasn't been alone among presidential hopefuls in this key early primary state.

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman wrapped up a two-day campaign visit Tuesday and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich will be finishing a two-day swing through the state Wednesday.
